A seat at Maroochydore Surf Lifesaving Club commemorates Matthew (Matt) Barclay.
The young Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club member lost his life in March 2012, competing at the Australian titles at Kurrawa. The 14-year-old Maroochydore competitor drowned during the Under 14 board race.

His passion for sport, positive outlook on life and a determination to succeed attracted great people to him.
