Robert Miller died in 1855 and was buried near the Presbyterian manse which was located on Wilson's Hill. In 1914 the property was purchased by Mr Schwinghammer but it was not until 1929 that the tombstone was disclosed.  The Presbyterian congregation of South Grafton then had the headstone restored and removed to St Stephens church.
