Michael O'Keefe Place commemorates Michael O'Keefe for his services to the dairy industry. He was the first Chairman of the Queensland Farmers Co-operative Dairy Association, and also a Councillor for Laidley Shire Council.

Plaque :
This plaque is dedicated to Michael O'Keefe who was unrelenting and unflinching in his dedication to dairy farmers. This was his greatest legacy and his greatest contribution to the Lockyer Valley.
Michael was the first Chairman for the Queensland Farmers Coooperative Dairy Association.
Michael was also a Councillor for Laidley Shire Council
Laidley's O'Keefe Place was the site of the old dairy factory, and is named in his honour.
