Uncle Jim ClarkePrint Page
The plaque commemorates Uncle Jim Clarke, a traditional Worimi elder who died in 2014.
Students from both Gloucester Public and Gloucester High schools were among the many who gathered to farewell local Aboriginal elder Uncle Jimmy Clarke last Thursday. The proud Worimi elder passed away late last month after a battle with illness.
Uncle Jimmy worked closely with both schools and was responsible for organising annual NAIDOC festivities in Gloucester. Students from Gloucester Public joined with members of the local RSL sub-branch in forming a guard of honour at the funeral service.
