King George V Memorial Park : 16-August-2014

The park commemorates King George V who died in 1936. The park was upgraded in 2009.
George V (3 June 1865 – 20 January 1936) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936.
The memorial gates at the entrance to Willow Tree park were officially opened on Saturday by the Minister for Health (Mr. H.P. Fitzsimons). Among others present were the C.W.A Group President (Mrs. Davies, of Scone), Mr. H. C. Carter, M.L.A., and the Shire President Cr. J.T. Perkins.
