Frederick Edwin Land
In recognition of the contribution made to the City of Queanbeyan and local government in New South Wales by Frederick Edwin Land, M. B. E. born 16. 1. 1913 in Queanbeyan, the son of Edwin Frederick and Lilian Alice (Collette)
Land served continuously on local government 1958 – 1980, Mayor 1964 – 1980. His grandfather, Edwin Henry Land, (1858 – 1897) was a founding father of Queanbeyan 1885 – 1897 – Mayor 1890.
His uncle, Henry Thomas Land, Alderman 1908 – 1929, Mayor 1928 – 1929. His father Edwin Frederick Land, Alderman 1925 – 1928.
