The plaque commemorates Alf Stubbs for his service to the community as Park Superintendent, his contribution to Tulip Time and dedication to making Corbett Gardens a beautiful park.
In 1961 Rotary Club re-establishes the flower festival again with Keith Barcham, the President of the Rotary Club presenting Bowral Municipal Council with 500 Tulip bulbs to plant in the Gardens. These plantings are carried out by Council gardeners headed by Mr Alf Stubbs.
