FOLLOWING SERVICE IN THE A.I.F. IN WORLD WAR 11, ALEX WAS A TIRELESS AND DEDICATED WORKER AND SERVED WITH THE FOLLOWING LOCAL ORGANISATIONS:

SOUTH GRAFTON SUB-BRANCH OF THE R.S.L.
SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT & PRESIDENT

SOUTH GRAFTON VOLUNTEER WATER BRIGADE
52 YEARS SERVICE INCLUDING 25 YEARS AS PRESIDENT AND 37 YEARS AS FLOOD SUPERVISOR

SOUTH GRAFTON VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE
35 YEARS AND HELD THE POSITION OF ENGINE KEEPER

ALEX WAS ALSO A FOUNDATION MEMBER OF THE SOUTH GRAFTON PROGRESS ASSOCIATION AND ACTIVELY CAMPAIGNED FOR THE PROVISION OF A LEVEE TO PROTECT SOUTH GRAFTON
