The headstone over the grave was erected to commemorate F. E. Bomford, a resident of Moorina who died in 1916.
At the Moorina, cemetery on Sunday afternoon last the unveiling of the monument erected to the memory of the late Mr. F. E. Bomford by his many friends throughout the district was performed by Mr. Mark Ireland, of South Mount Cameron, who spoke of the many kind services rendered by the deceased during his 35 years' residence amongst them as justice of the peace, mining registrar, and in other capacities, especially in the early days. His remarks were endorsed by Mr. C. Lucas, of Derby. Friends of the deceased from Derby, South Mount Cameron, and Moorina attended the ceremony.
