Henry Lawson Memorial Seat 2 : Feb 2014

The Henry Lawson Memorial Seat was erected by the McMahon's Point and Lavender Bay Progress Association to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Lawson who resided in the area for many years. The brass plaque which was mounted on the seat is missing.
Henry Lawson (17 June 1867 – 2 September 1922) was an Australian writer and poet. Along with his contemporary Banjo Paterson, Lawson is among the best-known Australian poets and fiction writers of the colonial period, and is often called Australia's "greatest writer".
