Major Mitchell Inscription : April 2014

An obelisk commemorates the explorations of Major Mitchell in 1836, the first settlement of the area in 1840 and 1841 by Horatio Spencer Wills, the first gold discoveries in October 1857 and is dedicated to the Moyston pioneers.
