In tribute to the pioneers who used this Trail last century to bring stock to market and to the pioneers of West and Central Texas for the 150th birthday of both these states in 1986.
This Overlander Trail reached from Port Augusta to Southern Queensland via Hawker, Marree and the Birdsville Track.
This rock from Wonoka Creek bank was placed here by the people of Hawker and the plaque was unveiled by Peter Knudsen.
