A plaque commemorates 50 years of community service by Shellharbour City S.E.S. 

The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community in storms, floods and tsunamis. It is made up almost entirely of volunteers, with 228 units located throughout NSW. The units comprise of approximately 10,000 volunteer members.
