The mural commemorates 150 years of service by the Queensland Police to the citizens of Queensland from 1864 to 2014.
The Queensland Police Force was established on 1 January, 1864 with strength of 287 officers serving a population of 61,467. David Thompson Seymour was appointed as Acting Commissioner and later as Commissioner.
