Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). Dog Netting FencePrint Page 
A cairn commemorates the construction of the dog-netting fence which crossed the highway at this point. Part of the fence is included with the memorial.
The fence stretched approximately 325 kilometres from Tyntynder on the Murray River to the South Australian border

This plaque was erected by the Wycheproof Shire Council
To commemorate the construction in 1885, of a fence from Tyntynder to the South Australian Border,
A distance of 204 Miles, to prevent wild dogs and other vermin entering farmlands to the south.
