A statue of St Peter commemorates Fraser Coast fishers who have been lost or taken by the sea.

The project was the brainchild of Urangan Fisheries owner Keith "Nick" Schulz, but also had much local business support. There is a plinth under the statue with one side being for those lost and never found and the other side being for those who lost their life at sea. The marble statue was sculpted in Italy and cost $17,000 to build.
