The plaque commemorates 100 years of worship at St John`s Church from 1907 to 2007.

MAITLAND, February. 11.— The new German Church at South Kilkerran was opened for public worship yesterday. There were crowded congregations at each service. The Rev. W. Riedel, of Point, Pass, preached in the morning, the Rev. A. Dohler in the afternoon, and the Rev. T. S. Williams in the evening. The new building is a neatly constructed limestone structure, costing nearly £1.000. The church is 50 ft. by 30 ft., and the hall, which is attached in T-shape fashion, is 43 ft. x 20 ft. It is built in Gothic style. The contractors were Messrs. Eichele & Klebe. The church has a fine appearance, and is in marked contrast to the old structure, which has been pulled down.
