In commemoration of the 140th anniversary of the dedication of the first Lutheran Church in this area

It was first known as rhe German Lutheran Church, Tarampa and was situated on this site.

It was consecrated by Rev. E. Heiner on Thursday, the 19th October, 1876.

As membership increased, a new and larger building was required in 1896 and again in 1910.

In 1938 the building was moved to the present site at Park Street, Lowood.
