Rostrum Clubs of New South Wales JubileePrint Page
An angophora tree commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Rostrums Club of New South Wales in 1980. A replacement plaque was placed near the tree during the Clubs' 75th Anniversary in 2005. From time to time Rostrum has held picnics around the tree accompanied by declamatory speeches in keeping with the history of speaking in the Domain
Rostrum is an organisation dedicated to helping people gain confidence through public speaking. Rostrum is for those who desire to advance themselves in the practice of effective speaking, and who hold that freedom of speech, loyalty to truth, clarity of thought and a love of the English language are of the utmost value to the community.
