A "kopjafa" commemorates the millenium of the foundation of Hungary. The unveiling was eighty years after the Treaty of Trianon in 1920 which redefined the boundaries of the Hungarian state.
A "kopjafa" is an ornamental carved wooden pole symbolising freedom and those who have sacrificed their lives.
