Tara Memorial Swimming Pool
A great community project
This plaque recognises the contribution of volunteers in the construction of the Tara Memorial Swimming Pool.
Construction of the Olympic-sized pool began in June 1962 with approximately 4,800 voluntary hours used during the construction atage. The pool opened for use in late 1963.
