The plaque commemorates 150 years of Freemasonary in Clare from 1860 to 2010.

On Wednesday last a Freemasons' Lodge was opened in Clare, at the Travellers' Rest, by D.G.M. Lazar, assisted by some of the principal Provincial Grand Officers. It is anticipated that the Lodge will be numerously and respectably supported, and that it will rank high in the list of South Australian institutions of the same nature.
