The Melaleuca tree commemorates those who have lost their lives through suicide.

White Wreath Day is marked on the National Health Calendar, State Calendar, and Council Calendars thoughout Australia for the 29th May each year, it is a special day dedicated to increasing awareness of suicide in Australia.
