This plaque was unveiled by Hon Kerry Shine MP - State Member for Toowoomba North Attorney - General and Minister for Justice and Minister  Assisting the Premier in Western Queensland,

To celebrate the completion of the restoration of this building which was formerly the Bank of NSW in Oakey (1913 - 1986) in the presence of Cr. Peter Taylor Mayor, Toowoomba Regional Council

This joint project involved the former Jondaryan Shire Council which funded the restoration and the Darling Downs Correctional Centre which provided the workers.
