The marble tablet was erected by the Kyneton Hospital Committee to mark their appreciation of the generous benefaction by the Stringer sisters. The tablet is erected in memory of the parents of the sisters.

A commemorative tablet of Sicilian marble, finished with columns of Buchan marble, in memory of the late John Stringer and Frances Stringer, has been unveiled at Kyneton District Hospital.  The tablet was erected by the hospital committee to mark their appreciation of the generous benefaction of the Missses Amy and Alesia (sic) Stringer, who presented a Commonwealth £1000 6 per cent bond as a legacy from the estate of their late sister,  Miss Elizabeth Stringer, and with the bond a cheque for £80 representing the previous half-year's interest.
Age (Melbourne), 5 June 1931.
