The sculpture commemorates Boofhead, who was known as Temora's railway dog.

Boofhead rode trains from Goulburn in the east to Lake Cargelligo in the west.

Boofhead

A long legged black and white fox terrier that became known as Temora`s railway dog.

He rode trains from Goulburn in the east to Lake Cargelligo in the west during the 1960`s and became a legend of the rail network.

The life of the friendly and free-spirited Boofhead is remembered fondly by the Temora railway community.

This statue, by Carl Valerius, was donated by Jeff and Joy Cornford and unveiled by Temora Shire Council Mayor Cr R B Firman OAM and Mr Cornford on the 17th March, 2018
