The Boulevard of Honour was planted in Burbridge Road in 1995 to commemorate 50 years since the end of World War Two.

At the bottom of each tree is a memorial plaque set into the pavement honouring an individual serviceman or servicemen. Burbridge Road was renamed Sir Donald Bradman Drive in 2002.

"Australia Remembers, 1945-1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
