The plaque commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action while serving with 8th Division Ammunition Sub Park during the Malayan Campaign in World War Two.

This plaque commemorates the memory of those who gave their lives for their country when the unit fought the Malayan Campaign from 8th December 1941 to 16th February 1942.

The Malayan forces capitulated on 16th February 1942 and the members of the unit became Prisoners of War.  During captivity, the unit served in  Singapore, Malaya, Borneo, Burma, Thailand and Japan.

They were equal to the task until released in 1945.
