The plaque commemorates those who served in the 2nd / 9th Australian Armoured Regiment  during World War Two.

The plaque location is indicated by a red poppy in the second image. 

The Regiment was formed in August 1941 and spent most of the war in Australia. It was disbanded in early 1946 after seeing action in the Borneo campaign late in the war.
