The plaque commemorates the ships and personnel who served in the 7th Destroyer Flotilla of the Royal Australian Navy during World War Two.

7th Destroyer Flotilla

`N` Class Destroyers of the Royal Australian Navy

The destroyers HMA Ships Napier, Nizam, Nestor, Norman and Nepal were commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy between 1940 and 1942.

They served in many theatres of war until 1945, including in the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific. HMAS Nestor was lost in the Mediterranean on 16 June 1942.

Dedicated by the `N` Class Destroyer Associations in memory of all those who served.
