The plaque commemorates those who served in the 2nd / 4th Australian Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment during World War Two.

The plaque location is indicated by a red poppy in the second image. 

The Regiment was raised in Palestine in January 1942 – one of 11 to be raised during World War Two. At the time, it became the fourth such unit of the 1st Australian Anti-Aircraft Brigade and was attached to the 9th Division.  From 1942 to 1945 the unit served in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and New Guinea (Lae, Finschhafen, Nadzab and Dumpu).
