The honour roll commemorates former students who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two.

The Toogoolawah State Rural School honour tablet was unveiled on Saturday afternoon by the Minister for Public Instruction (Mr. T. L. Williams).  The Chairman (Mr. L. G. Lather) called upon Mr. Macdonald to introduce the Minister, and ask him to unveil the tablet. In doing so Mr. Macdonald paid a tribute to Mr. Willlams for undertaking the duty at considerable inconvenience. He congratulated the committee and all concerned upon the manner they had decided to perpetuate the memory of past pupils who had lost their lives in the service of their country.  The tablet was engraved by Mr. Petrie, of Toowong, and was fixed by Mr. Harry Granzien, who also made the cement borders for the garden plot.
