The gates commemorates those who served in World War Two.
Designs for memorial gates at the entrance to St. James' Church of England are being sought from parishioners and should reach the secretary by June 24. On this day a meeting of St. James' Guild will be held and a design decided on. The gates will be erected in memory of those who served in the second world war.
Advocate (Burnie), 10th June 1954.
Note: This church was on a list of Anglican Church properties for sale in 2018.
