Mole Creek Memorial HallPrint Page
The hall was erected to commemorate those who served in World War Two.
"Keep the memory of this night in your hearts and make sure that the doors of this hall are never opened to
admit anything of which those you honour would not be proud." The Premier (Mr. Cosgrove) said that last night at Mole Creek when opening the new Soldiers' Memorial Hall.
A plaque bearing the names of Flying Officer Austin Richards and Flight Sergt. Laurie Waddington, both of Mole Creek, who lost their lives while flying with the R.A.A.F. in Europe during the war, has been purchased for erection in the hall.
Examiner (Launceston), 20th September 1952.
