The pillar at the entrance to the Band Hall commemorates those who served in World War Two. The pillar was originally part of a memorial fence.
Improvement of Marananga Hall grounds was decided on by the committee at Tuesday's meeting, Mr C. M. Roennfeldt presiding. Grounds at front and side of the hall are to be grassed. A white post fence and extra snowcrete pillars are to be erected to extend the Memorial fence, which at present does not include the frontage across the parking area next to the hall.
Leader (Angaston, SA), 2 June 1949.
