The tree commemorates those who served with the 1st Australian Corps Petrol Park during World War Two.
The 1st Australian Corp Petrol Park was formed at Puckapunyal Victoria in early 1940 in order to provide transport service to the 7th Division. It was comprised of a Headquarters Section and two Sub Parks Nos 1 & 2 each with their own workshops section.
