The hall commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two.
A brick front entrance was added to the hall as memorial to those who died in service or were killed in action and the hall was then known as the Laggan Memorial Hall. A tablet was unveiled inside the hall listing the names of the fallen.
