Maryborough Roll of HonourPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates those from the District who served in World War Two.
MARYBOROUGH. Saturday. A new honour board, similar in appearance to others on the walls of the Town Hall, bearing in gold letters the names of 110 volunteers from the Maryborough district was unveiled by the Mayor (Ald. R. D. McDowell). Ald. McDowell said that he was proud to announce that Maryborough was once again setting a lead, being the first city in the State to unveil an honour board perpetuating the names of its sons who had gone to serve in the present conflict.
