Avenue of HonourPrint Page
The Avenue of Honour commemorates those from Bridgewater and District who served in World War Two.
An avenue of trees was planted in Bridgewater on Saturday last in honor of all men who have enlisted from the district. Mr. F. Halleday, M.L.C., was the chief spokesman. The avenue runs parallel with the railway on the north side, and 42 trees were planted, all being subscribed. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies, each of whom planted a tree. Mr. L. J. Heron is the energetic secretary.
