The grove of trees commemorate those from the district who served in World War Two.
The triangle of trees, which also has name plaques at the base, were threatened for removal when the intersection was to be realigned in 2015. A public meeting was held and a petition signed to save the trees. A large stone was provided by the Alexandrina Council and now sits in the middle of the triangle of trees, and a Department of Veterans' Affairs' grant was obtained to purchase a brass plaque which is affixed to the stone.
The brass plaque lists the names of the 17 men from Belvidere who fought in World War Two.
