Longreach Memorial Pool & Aquatic CentrePrint Page
The pool was originally erected as a war memorial in memory of those from the district who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two. A plaque at the pool lists the names of those who made the supreme sacrifice.
Opened in 1962 as the Longreach War Memorial Pool, the pool was upgraded and opened as the Longreach Memorial Pool and Aquatic Centre on the 26th January 2009.
