St Paul's Anglican ChurchPrint Page
The church was erected as a war memorial to commemorate those who served in World War Two. A plaque lists the names of those from the district who served in the conflict.
Some of the furnishings for the new Church of England at Talwood have been from the south of France. These include a rood screen, reredos, and altar cross. The wood carving on the screen has been most skilfully executed; the altar cross is beautifully proportioned, and the reredos is a mosaic of slate and marble depicting on the middle scene the Madonna and Child. Archbishop Halse will lay the foundation stone of the church — St. Paul's War Memorial Church — at Talwood at 3pm. on April 15.
