Millicent Primary School Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates former students of the school who served in World War Two. The roll lists the names of those who lost their lives in the conflict.
An honor roll, bearing the names of all who made the supreme sacrifice in the last world war and which pays tribute to all former pupils of the school who served their country, will be unveiled at the Millicent primary school on Friday next, March 5. The honor roll will be unveiled by Mrs W. A. Giddings, who lost two of her sons in the war, and later it will be hung in its permanent position in the school library by Mr R. E.DeGaris. At a cost of £56/16/-, the honor roll has been provided by funds raised by the school welfare club, an untiring band of women who have annually raised sums of money for amenities at the school. The ceremony at 2.45 will be open to parents of pupils and the general public.
