Australia Remembers Place commemorates the men and women of the southern suburbs of Brisbane who served at home and abroad during World War Two. 

"Australia Remembers, 1945-1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

This place is dedicated on the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War to commemorate the contribution and sacrifice of residents of the southern suburbs of Brisbane both at home and abroad.
