Wallendbeen Memorial Hall ExtensionPrint Page
The extension to the World War One Memorial Hall was erected to commemorate those from the district who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two.
The Memorial Hall Fund Committce is delighted with the financial result of last Saturdays bazaar in the village, when £410 was raised. Postmaster Mr J. O'Brien described the large number of visitors from Cootamundra, Young and Harden as a "wonderful crowd." The bazaar was the wind-up effort in a series of functions conducted by the committee for extensions to the Memorial Hall. The extensions will honor district residents who fell in the Second World War.
