The propellor presented by Squadron No 38 Caribou Royal Australian Air Force Amberley commemorates the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two. An information plaque was placed by the Brisbane City Council at the site in 2002. 

"Australia Remembers, 1945 - 1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
