Trees commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two.
Memorial tablets ordered by the Oatlands Council, in memory of 10 servicemen who enlisted from the district and died on active service during the Second World War, have been completed and will be attached to guards surrounding trees planted at Oatlands several years ago.
The tablets are inscribed with the servicemen's rank, name, and date of death, and have been made in honour of the following: Capt. W. P. Taylor, Sgt. V. Green, Sgt. R. T. Gregg, Sgt. T. M. Harriss, Cpl. B. Goss, Pte. F. J. Harrison, Pte, J. H. Bailey, and A.B.'s F. Norman; C. Norman, and W. Stevenson.
