Auburn Congregation Roll of HonourPrint Page
Two honour rolls commemorate the members of the Auburn Congregation who served in World War One.
The rolls were initially all timber, with the names inscribed in gold paint. When the Trustees decided to have the names cast in bronze, the timber panels were kept, and mounted in a new timber frame, which was erected in the Church Hall.
There are two almost identical versions of the one Honour Roll. The reason for the different order of names is not known. One honour roll is installed on the south wall of the church interior, and the other on the west wall of the hall.
The roll was dedicated on 1 August 1926 by the Victorian Governor, Lord Somers
