The honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.  It is a large, light-coloured polished wooden board on which veterans' names and the Railway Branch in which they were employed have been printed.

This honour roll was produced by the Operations staff. A triptych Honour Roll board, with 100 Operations railways employees names who served in the First World War written on paper in ink, and accompanied by their Railway Branches, and mounted in a large wooden picture frame behind a glass pane.

The triptych originally had left and right wings attached, that contained the names of those who were wounded or gave their lives in the First World War, but these were removed in 2014 due to their deteriorating paintwork for conservation work.
