Warooka Memorial HallPrint Page
The hall commemorates those who served in World War One.
The new Memorial Hall at Warooka will be opened on Wednesday, Feb. I5, by Brig.-Gen. S. Price Weir, V.D., D.S.O. The Building presents a fine appearance, and willfill a long felt want. For many years the old Institute Building has served a useful purpose as the chief hall of the town. It will still be very convenient, having been turned into an excellent supper room, with doors opening directly from it into the new hall. The foundation stone ofthe new building was placed in position by the Premier, Hon. R. L Butler, on Wednesday, July 6,1927.
Pioneer (Yorketown, SA), 27 January 1928.
